I stop and help anyone who I see in need and I normally don't ask for anything! I figure if the shoes where reversed what would I do if I could not pay? But if they offer something like a drink if they ever see me in a bar later I'll take that!
But I think I get paid enough just by the feeling I get when I help people out. As for being robbed, "You can't get blood from a turnip!" But then again I used to leave the keys in the ignition of my car just incase someone needed to use it in an emergency. But since my wife hates it when I do that I've had to stop doing it or deal with a fire ball!
