Re: Picture/info request. Dropped and ride height

Mines dropped 5 1/2 in the front with 2 1/2 drop spindles & 3 inch drop springs and it has 5 inch drop springs out back. I have 3 to 3 1/2 clearance at the cross member. I have to get a running start with the floor jack to wedge it under it! The A arms hang down even lower though, there is probably only 2 2 1/2 inches of clearance under them! I don't straddle anything on the highway anymore since I tried to run over top a dead possum and ended up dragging it down the road... I still don't think it's low enough though but it will definitely have to have adjustable suspension (air bags) when I go lower or it won't be very drivable. Believe it or not it still rides great though. I'm running Doetsch Tech shocks on all four corners & it rides better than it did with the stock coils with one round cut out and near new Monroe Gasmatic shocks. I really have been pleased with the Doetsch Tech shocks. I put a set of Edelbrock Performer IAS shocks on my '97 Silverado reg cab and they would bounce 2 or 3 times when you hit a big dip in the road and they cost like 70 or 80 bucks each! The Doetsch Techs are much, much cheaper. Oh yeah, the tires are 255/60/15, I have a new set of 275/60/15 Tiger Paws that I may try on it one day though. I have plenty of room now that I swapped the fleet side bed on...
