Thanks for the ideas.... a few thoughts:

It sounds like the complete front end swap could be relatively cheap then, huh? I was thinking I would need to dive deep into the wallet to get all the stuff for converting to disk breaks and make all the steering line up..... or is it really just as easy as unbolting the old front, bolt up the new one, hook up the old lines and drive?

I tend to over think things, which is why I was originally exploring this idea in the first place....
