Re: anybody found any new old vintage photo's of our truck's ? here is one 67 custom
I took this pics of my brother's 71 Cheyenne Super a couple of yrs ago. These have better resolution and do not look as retro as I thought. In any case, still a cool truck. He had a big shop air compressor and other stuff that he needed to get from the Tx coast to his place in Virginia, so he figured he would find a nice truck around where I live (Austin), buy it cheap and sell it in VA. He bought this truck in Port Lavaca Texas for $4,500, put tires shocks and tuned it up and drove it to Richmond,Va with no problems. I gave him the old camper shell to keep stuff dry and secure.. I think it adds to the "RETRO VIBE". I think he said he got around 10-12 mpg. He sold it on EBAY up there for $14k. It was original paint, recovered bench seat, tilt, tach, 402/TH400, factory cruise (!), factory AM/FM radio and dealer installed (?) air shocks with on board compressor and AC DELCO control under the dash. SUPER CLEAN ORIGINAL TRUCK. I would have hung onto it. This was one of the most highly optioned original trucks I have ever seen. The only thing I can think of that it did not have was bucket seat/ console. I cannot find a SPID picture and I could swear I took one! I only wish I had beat him to it. The money is going to a good cause. He is restoring a 69 Indy Pace Car replica (white convertible with orange SS stripes and interior)
