Bigger is better when it comes to the shop, but I had to settle for what I could afford. 30X36 with 10' walls, 9X18 overhead door, vaulted ceiling over the lift. List of things I did right. In floor radiant heat, vaulted ceiling over lift. 220V recept. next to overhead door opening (3 total). 110V recept. every 8' around walls. installed compressor away from shop (in attached garage) to keep noise out of shop. Things I wish i did.. add floor heat to cement pad in front of overhead door (with valve to turn off) to melt snow. 220V recept. for A/C. more outside lights on side of shop (outside) where I store junk.
