427 punched to 440 in my pickup, TH400, 3:08 rear on a 275-60-15 = 12+ on the highway.
My Suburban with a 383, 700R4, 3:73 rear on 275-60-15 = 16 to 17 highway.
The 427 is FAR superior to the 383

. But for a daily driver, I like my 383. Ken
