Have both a 67 & 72 chevy. And have to say I like them equally.
Drove the 72 until it broke and family came along and it's set parked for 15 years. Went to start the rebuild last year and came across a 67 big window that had almost everything I wanted done and bought it for less than I was planning to spend on the 72. The guy did a lot of work to get it up to 72 standards (disc brakes, emergency footbrake etc...
Seems it would be a lot easier to just get a 72 and buy 67 front sheetmetal.
Of course I still went and spent more than my budget playing with the 67
