Well, asking for opinions on a board this large will get you alot of opinions.

You have to figure out what you are wanting.

I have 5 different sets of 6 lug wheels and love how they all look.

A good rebuild on drums should work fine and that would keep the costs down, but if you like the look and added power of discs this conversion is the easiest one ever.

It all comes back to what you want, what you can afford and what you are comfortable doing.
