I would be interested in this too, I am running a 700r4 with the stock 2 piece driveshaft. It works good, but I eat up carrier bearings like crazy. I bought an 85 chevy for the front brake stuff and pulled the driveshaft out but it is too long, I am considering having it shortened but what issues would there be with the crossmember, if any? I do have the truck lowered quite a bit front and back, how important is the angle of the shaft in relation to trans/diff? Not to steal your thread SactoJim, just curious as well.
