The prop shaft mounted brake is just like a drum brake that is mounted to the tranny output shaft. The drum turns with the drive shaft and the pad assembly is fixed. It's like -40 with the wind chill right now so I can't get a pic for ya.

And yes it is on the option sheet. There is a couple pages on it in the '68 chassis manual if you have one. Not sure how many years this was offered.

And no it's not the water........all the water is frozen!!
