I've noticed a few of these in the past, but just recently saw one locally, so I was relieved to see some recent interest and a readily available knowledge base when I went Google-ing. I enjoy camping and love the look of a stepside, so I can't help but think of how cool one of these things could be in a crew cab with an Avion camper on the back headed for a rural retreat. I've found a few of these on CL ranging from $650-$2,500 depending on condition, and I've also found a bed only for sale for $375. Some of these trucks are optioned pretty well such as this '84 GMC for sale out of NJ, but in order to get way out in the boonies you'ld need lots of fuel which begs the question: Were dual tanks offered with the LWB stepside?
