if they are rated for 200-250 psi working pressure, burst strength is typically at least 3 times that. The factor of safety, i believe is somewhere between 3 and 5....but I can't find the page right now to get the specs....
but i agree, it is not much in the way of savings, and the loss of function is probably not worth it......
