I put new 3 point belts in my truck. I didn't like the thought of a face plant into the steering wheel or my wife's head hitting a steel dash.

EDIT:

CHILDHOOD FLASH BACK! My dad had an old jeep that just had lap belts in it. We went 4 wheeling in the snow when I was 11 or 12 and he bounced it hard across a ditch and I did a face plant into the dash. There was blood all over my shirt. My mom was pissed, but I had fun, I wanted to go again after it stopped bleeding
