Even with family, you shouldn't have to come up with a price - he should put out the first price and then you can respond. Sure sounds like a nice one. I looked at one pretty seriously about 2 1/2 years ago and worked him down to $2,550.00 - it had a bit of rust but wasn't in too bad of shape. I still kind of wish I hadn't passed on it, but took alot of peoples advice that one project is alot easier to tackle than two.
