You want to be careful. In 2000, a 5.3 and a 5.7 use a different filter. Make sure you have the right one on it. According to Baldwin Filters' site, if the VIN has a "R" (5.7), it uses a B1428 (2wd) or a B35-S (4wd). If it is a 5.3 with a "T", it uses a B1432. I hope I'm wrong...
