Re: what year did these start being used?
I had a new '76 Silverado 4x4 that came with deep / wide ones on it stock, & that was the first year I ever remember seeing them on. Thought they were cool looking.
Also had a new '85 Silverado 2WD that came with them.
Thought they looked good enough to retro-a set onto my oldie.
Most people think they were an option for our years, they've been used so often.
