I did a similar setup in a different vehicle, but the theory would be the same. As slammed67 mentioned, under the cab would be the best location (under tank, gravity feed, and less noise in the cab). I ran rubber lines from tank to pump, braided steel lines from pump to carb, especially underneath the vehicle for protection.
As far as up the back or around the front, it all depends on how you want it to look. sleek and tidy, or chromed and cool stainless hoses galore!
