If you want to be period correct, the 16.5" one piece wheel is what was used in the early 70's 3/4 tons (tires are still available, but usually more expensive and harder to find).If you just want to upgrade,the mid 80's 3/4 ton 16" one piece rims are your best bet( and very plentiful) if you want to keep your vehicle stock looking with popular 16" tires( and still match your glove box decal size). Stay away from 90's rims, they wont accept your hubcaps.Here is a mid 80's 16" wheel on an 85 series(taller than 75 series)radial tire.The 85 series tire is approx. the same diameter of the original 7.50- 16 bais ply tire.
