Re: shipping question

I don't have shipper recomendations, since they are pretty common everywhere. Just a recount of my past experience.

A while ago I shipped a V-6 from SoCal up to Idaho. I used a shipping
company that came to my place to pick it up.

The only thing they required was that it was on a pallet, and didn't contain any oil or anything else that would be a hazard.

I can't remember the actual cost to do this, but I do remember it wasn't cheap. Since they charge by weight and size.

If I were to do it again, I would get a pallet and build a box around the parts. It would have made the pricing better for me, since they wanted exact dimensions. In my case I just secured the motor to the pallet, and then shrink wraped it. This apparently added more cost to my bill, since they couldn't stack anything on it. So it was like shipping a refrigerator!
