Not necessarily. It depends on the track height, seat bottom thickness(both add more height to the seat overall, reducing headroom) and seat back thickness(this causes the seat to effectively be further from the back of the cab creating less leg room). These are the items that need to be investigated to make a proper seat selection for your height.
Generally speaking, a car seat will sit lower than a truck seat because of the track setup. The later model truck seats are thicker(base and back) so there will be less leg and headroom.
I personally want to run a bench for the extra seating room. I'll leave the buckets/console to my Z28.
