I take it that you are looking for longer studs, because you intend to use them with spacers? If so how thick? Front? rear?
I don't know why they would tell you to look for 4x4 studs? Heck with Chevys the studs in a 4x4 are smaller than a 2 wheel drive truck....at least on the "square" body trucks where they are 6-lug and 7/16" diameter...but there could be differences in the diameter and length of the knurled area too.
You are probably better off going to your local NAPA and "matching" up you old ones to something longer, reguardless of it's actual application.....all of this of course depends upon your "spacer" thickness and intended use.
You may be better off with "adapter" type spacers that bolt to your original studs......
