The difference between the 88-94 and 95-98 6-lug 2wd rotors is the ABS reluctor ring. Otherwise the rotors are the same. The a 1/2-ton of the same year trucks has the exact same fit, only 5-lugs.

I never tried the 73-87 spindles with the 88-98 6-lug rotor. Even if it did fit, what would the advantage be? They won't fit the 70-older ball joints, and the taller height will affect the rate of the camber throughout the wheel travel.

After you changed the complete front suspension to 73-87, then you could successfully run the 6-lug rotors (if they fit).
