I have a 67 C20 small window that came with HO52/4.10 open rear end, and did some research when I was planning my swap to 73+ 12 bolt, which I've completed.

1) in 67, 4.10 was the highest (num lowest) available in the HO52. The 20's only offered 4.56, deeper gears were available in the bigger trucks, I think.

2) with an auto, 4.10 is almost assured.

3) 99.99% chance it's an open rear end. I think posi/limited slip Eaton rears were available in other years/other trucks, but not 67 lt trucks.

4) This rear end, if supplied with oil, will almost certainly not fail you.

5) There are (were) aftermarket gears for these, I have a set of 3.90's if you want 'em. I have no idea how many miles they have, but they're in great shape.

6) PM if you're thinking of swapping with a 12bolt...I have a ton of brain stuff to share with you!
