Well I never tried to run mine until it was in the truck, but I would say that you should be able to fire it up if you have the full harness hooked up to the improtant things at least. You can bypass the VATS, this diagram should help you. You have to have the fan relays in, even if not hooked up, you have to keep the air pump relay hooked up and I think the fuel pump relay as well. Mine had been sitting for a few years and it fired right up the first try (well after I put the fuse in I was missing LOL) I would say just fresh oil, gas and plugs. I have heard that some injectors can get clogged with fuel sitting in them (similiar to a carb) but I didnt have any issues.





Anything I didnt answer??? I would say just swap it in, I love mine and wouldnt go back now, well maybe to a LQ4/9 or LS2 LOL
