Nope, there's no transmission speedometer delete... If you really just want to plug the hole, you could plug it with some sort of epoxy (after a good cleaning), find a wooden dowel that would fit in there sorta tight and tap it in place, or weld it shut...

But, if it were me, I'd just take the plastic driven gear, count the teeth, go over to the Chevy dealer and get a replacement along with a housing "O" ring seal. Maybe get the whole housing asm and the gear. I think I paid less than $20 for the whole thing last year. Napa may sell them also.
