i wouldn't worry about it.
ive never actually had my truck on the trailer...but ive towed my racecar and stuff around on like northern secondary highways up here, and ive never noticed any more scrapes, scratches or chips on the front end of it from towing.
if you leave the cover on it, you may do damage from the cover flapping in the breeze at 80 mph..
