How thick is the sound deadener?
Originally the factory stuff was just laid down. Then the carpet laid on top of it.
Once you get the chrome trim down in the door jambs and the seat belts and seat installed it wont move around.
I personally wouldn't glue anything down. I might want to take it back up.
