Hey, Thanks for the welcome!

I started trying to take the hitch off the back of the truck, and to my surprise I found it was bolted, not welded to the frame! That was a relief, except that they used 1" diameter bolts with huge square heads that were now fused into one piece. It took me three cutting discs to get through those bolts...

This is the most interesting hitch I have ever seen. It must have been intended for use in a military troop truck or something. It's huge, and heavy!! But I did get it out! Woohoo!

Here's a picture of the hitch out of the truck. That beam is 3/4" thick, and that's 1/2" plate welded on both sides of it. It is HEAVY...
