I solved the hot ram horn problem by having the manifolds cermachromed (ceramic coating looks like chrome). That brought the exterior temps down. I decided to go with the rams to maintain clearance for my clutch linkage. Just a note: I used two right side ram manifolds to match the exhaust flows for both sides, 2-1/4" to the Flowmasters, 2-1/2" from there back. Nice tone.
