On the stainless piece with the threaded ends one has a square cut at the base the meshes with a square cut in the arm you coated. I took pictures of em before I took em apart. They are put back together the same way. But I supposed its possible the original owner had them together wrong.

Mark (Livrat) has the same set on his truck. Ill ask him to take a look at the picture.

I just read what you posted next...You are probably right. I questioned it myself when I was putting it together, but it matches the before pics....Ill take it apart this weekend.
