It's grounded from that connector through distributor frame and down to the engine block.

On mine, I just made sure that the base where it contacts the block was clean and there was metal to metal contact. I also lightly sanded the bottom of the clamp and polished the threads on the bolt to the engine block. Not sure you need to do all that though.
