first back up layer(s) surfacing veil and some .75 mat

corners and tight spots filleted in, and 2 layers of .75

2 layers of 1.5 mat

gratuitous lay-up pics.

Then I put another 2-4 layers of 1.5 mat on it, focusing on the lip area and flanges/edges
