Re: Project KRZY
So I got the truck home and got it into the garage and started to tear it apart. This wasnt hard because the cab wasnt bolted in, the Engine was just the block without the heads on it. We ( me and my Cousin ) first stripped the rear end and the front cross member, the tranny cross member , and the drive shaft cross member. We put the frame on jack stands and then measured the frame to cut and re weld to make it a SWB. We cut the frame using a great guide listed somewhere on this site and supported it with 1/4 inch plate. At this point the frame went to the sand blasters because the coating on the frame was really nasty and hard to grind without gumming up the wheels. I have pictures but will need to get them from my cousin.
