My neighbor long time ago bought an old truck one day that was just painted. He was so happy til he close the door and heard something funny. he opened the door and a big chunk of filler fell out on the ground with a piece of aluminum foil stuck to it. I felt sorry for him.

I've also seen great stuff foam shaped to the contour of the panel and mudded over.

I'm sure there are alot of similar stories around.
