Starting Problems, Hot Shot relay

Ok on my 68 lemans....blah blah I know its not a 67-72 but you guys are smart...It has issues wanting to start. No matter what battery I try it wont start. If I add another running truck to it (ie jumper cables) It will start right up. I was wondering if anyone has used a hot shot relay from painless. Will this help it out?

The battery is in the trunk with 2-0 welding wire going to the starter via a moroso kill switch. I also have the painless relay on there for the alternater. I was having problems getting it started then I changed the cable going to the starter and now it works better, but I cant start the car with out another cars help. The starter is a CVR model and was also bought new to help with the starting problems.

FYI I also use the same starter on my suburban. If it sits for a few days then it sometimes doesnt have enough juice to start. Could be a bad battery since its not holding a charge. I was also thinking about tossing one of these on there so I dont have to worry about it starting.
