Is your truck an auto or three speed? Is the shifter for an automatic or a three speed? Does your truck have a tilt column? Is the shifter for a tilt column?
I don't know if it will help but the non-tilt Automatic one from my '69 measures 1 9/16" from the tip to the center of the hole.
Not to sound like the post police but when you post a question include all of the information you possibly can. You will get more answers and responders won't have to ask so many questions....
