A guy could use the bracket and make a spring loaded pin that pulled with a cable from inside to lock it if you had a different grill or billet style grill.
I've got an old tube style grill in my truck that I can barely get my fingers through and that would keep the sneaky Petes looking to grab goodies quick out.
A guy could make it solenoid operated but then it wouldn't work w/o electricity if the battery was dead.
Food for thought on designing something.
