I would say that a lot of the weight I shaved was the diff in 3/4 vs 1/2 ton suspension(unsprung weight). If you look into some of the aftermarket front crossmembers(Mustang II, or Jim Meyers), you can shave some weight......tube arms & coilovers are slick as he!! too! At the rear, a 4 link/coilover would save some weight & be very adjustable. As far as rear weight, you really need to keep all you can. My longhorn is a little longer,but has serious traction issues with an auto trans. I am setting the old truck up for a 6spd richmond......it will take a set of slicks to get her to hook up! Concentrate on the front weight.....glass clip, glass doors,alum rad,alum heads,waterpump,heater delete,relocated battery custom front crossmember,liteweight seats ect. You can shave a bunch of weight.....but after a while, it gets expensive. Good luck,crazyL
