Put my 283 back in my '66 over the weekend and I have about a 1/4 inch of clearance between the valve covers and the firewall. I have tall covers and was wondering about moving the motor mount towers forward about an inch. I want to keep the tall valve covers. The trans xmember won't be an issue because I am switching to TH350.
