Pretty much the opinions here are "do what you want, it's your truck".

If it were me I'd find a used full guage cluster and substitute in the aftermarket gauges you want to use rather than to do the glove box thing.

Try posting your question on a new post you create (New Thread" button), you'll get a lot more response.

BTW, factory clearance lights did not appear until 69 and that style is easilly identifiable by the raised "hockey puck" mounting areas in the cab roof. What you have is dealer installed and would not be on the glove box build sheet.
