I assume you are dealing with a 4.3L V6. Keep in mind that the 97 and the 92 are completly different trucks, different bodies, different electronic and there are drivetrain differences. The 4x4 stuff may not even fit the 97. Also there may be some differences in the engines. They are both 4.3L's but the 92 will more than likely be a TBI engine and the injection and control systems will be different. Also the heads will be different and the engine may not utilize a balance shaft (for antivibration I'm not 100% sure what years the balance shaft was in the 4.3L). Your 97 is a Vortec engine and will use Vortec V6 heads and will have to be moved to the 92 engine to utilize the 97 fuel injection. On the outside chance the 92 is a first series of Vortec engines (I don't actually think these came out until 94), the these are different from the 96 and later Vortecs. You might be better off finding a 96 or newer S10 Blazer/Pickup/Full Size that utilized the same setup as your 97. Keep in mind that if you
