Get the Lokar adjustable column shifter kit and run your 3" pipes over the tranny mount. Cut 4.5" holes in your TA xmember and weld in reinforcing rings or just but the ECE version. Have you driven your burb lately? I had a shift linkage like that but changed it for a cable. The problem I had that my shift lever was skaking like hel when I drove on a bumpy road. The ones with a cable are also verry easy to install.
This is a nice burb, like the combo.
