Tx firefighter knows what he is talking about. Get it clean and clear coat it. I found a wheel cleaner that did a really good job but it was acid based and you had to be really careful with it and not leave it on long. I think it was Eagle for magnesium type wheels.

I bought this one because I was tired of messing with cleaning them. It's great. Clean with window cleaner or any kind of polish.
