This product is actually used when you are reassembling the pieces on your truck, and helps to ensure they "never seize" on your truck again. That way when you decide to go with bags (you know you wil... ) the pieces will come apart like that.

This is a good idea, whether you put it on tape or not. Write down your measurements for all four corners as well as the measurements for the rearend being centered. You definitely want to make sure the pieces you received provide you with the correct amount of drop, and you also want to be able to track down the road straight.
