I have never used Color Bond, but have had good luck with SEM dyes. The main thing you will need to do is make sure your parts are absolutely clean to make sure you get good adhesion. Clean the parts with soap and water, then use a good solvent (I like lacquer thinner if the parts have not been dyed before) with a scotchbrite pad. Finish with wax and grease remover, then adhesion promoter, and dye. The end result should be near indestructable.
