Putting in a posi unit is something you can easily do yourself with very few specialized tools that you can either borrow or buy for much less than what a shop would charge to install it. You dont have to set the pinion depth since it is already set . All you have to set is gear backlash and the only thing you need to set that with is a dial indicator and mag bas. $45 or less for an economy set from J&L industrial or harbor freight for that matter. If you have even the slightest amount of mechanical aptitude you can do it on your own. I did my first posi install when I was 14 with no help. You have a thousand years worth of experience right here on this board to help you. Go for it.
