I would say it depends on how much power you are planning on putting down on the pavement, and if you are planning on lowering the stance. Most of what I have seen is replacing the stock bar with the adjustable one so you can get the rear end centered. My 2cents.
On a side note, that bracket on the rear axle also is the location for the T split for the rear brake lines on mine. So if you grind it off you will have to come up with another setup for that.
