Re: Rear floor replacement

I used a donor bed floor out of a lwb truck. The body mount sills have to be changed, or at least the area where body mounts go (like I did). All of the bolt holes match for the wheel house and bed sides with the execption of one near the fuel vent tube. The holes for the body mount bolts are moved over to the valley that is stamped with the half moon area. I was able to use my original piece that folds down behind seats and welded it to the donor floor. Of course the back had to be cut down to the right length and the rear cross sill placed in correct position. My original rear cross sill was trash, so had to use truck sill and fab up correct body mounts, they also will be a different height than truck mount. Everything has worked out quite well, my only problem is I'm not much of a welder and the donor bed could have been better, hope this helps you with a little insight.
