[/ATTACH] i'm glad i ran across this post just in case i need to move my hinges for clearance. my Dad has 2 dead Explorers at his place. (a 95 and a 2002) and both of these body styles have a similar type of hinge. the later model one looks to have a better hinge, but both will probably work for a conversion. The attached pics are of 95-01 body style (pic 2), and the 02-05 (pic 1). the 95-01 uses a prop rod, and the 02-05 have gas-charged shocks.

oh yea, not just sport tracs but explorers too. there are more of them in the junkyards ta boot.
