You could adjust it to where the trans would down shift when you stepped on the throttle. You can still adjust it now, just pull it out a little and put a wire tie or something to hold it in place. It should be pulled out some anyway, it provides extra pressure to the clutch packs. If pulled out all of the way it may not shift into 3rd until 40-50 mph or so.

Wow! You all are truly great! That makes sense! Last night I was driving it and it seemed liked it took FOREVER to shift!! So, the orignal tranny was replaced with a 700R4. (I think) Anyhow, so I put this on the drivers side of the carb, where??? Thanks again everyone!!!
